The sun woke us up (just as we’d expected) this morning and we almost immediately met new people. They were a couple (black people!), with the girl having been to Bonnaroo 2010 and the man being a newbie like us. They showed us to a tent with free food, lemonade, and charging stations for our phones. Awesome things count: 1
We then headed straight into the now-open Centeroo and dropped by Feist’s soundcheck on Which Stage. None of us having listened to her, it was pretty damn impressive, and we even had the chance to talk to her. Perhaps the most interesting spectator was a dancing man who I could not honestly tell whether or not he was on anything. Awesome things count: 2, 3
We then watched “Chasing Ice”, one of the greatest climate change documentaries I’ve seen. Granted, that was the only one I’ve seen, but it was still extraordinary. We then visited the Comedy Theater, where Comedy Central was taping a special (Saturday the 23rd at 11pm est). Awesome things count: 4, 5
Now we’re turning in for awhile before heading to Alabama Shakes at This Tent, followed by Chris Gethard’s performance at 2 AM. If you haven’t heard about his journey… you need to.
